Sensory Room

Ramlegh Park Primary School consulted with Ability Space to create a custom sensory room for our school. This room offers a wall to floor mural which contains Aboriginal-inspired artwork.

From Ability Space’s website:

Sensory Spaces are filled with sensory stimulation, visual, audio and touch. It becomes a space outside the classroom where participants can be in a safe environment, to alleviate frustration, violence, anxiety, for participants that have the need to jump, climb, spin, punch, or need calming. This can reduce damage on classroom furniture or injury to teachers, support workers and other students. The Sensory Space will be custom designed and fitted out with specific equipment to meet the needs of each individual participant.

We are extremely happy with how this space turned out, but please view the photos and walkthrough video below and decide for yourself!
